Introduction: Current Surge Protector [Vacuum Circuit Breaker]  
MY2 Current Surge Protector (hereinafter refers to “protector”) adopts to AC 50/60Hz, 380V and below TN-S, TN-C,
TN-C-S, TT, IT power supply system. It protects the over-voltage of the grid against lightening or surging.
Expiration Release Device [Current Surge Protector]
The expiration release device is installed on the protector module. When the protector is over-heated and has a penetration failure, the expiration release device can automatically releases from the grid and sends out instruction signal. The protector has a green sign when it is in normal operation and it will change into a red sign after its expiration. Alarm, The alarm is of AC 220V power supply. It is green and the open contact point is closed when the protector is in normal operation.
Acousto-optic alarm function [Current Surge Protector]
If the protector module expires, the alarm sounds like buzzing and turns into red light.
If the maintenance person presses the stop button, the buzzing sound will pause (the red light is on) for 24 hours. If the failure has not been eliminated, the alarm will send out buzzing sound once again.

Installation Position and Application [Current Surge Protector]
Installed at the junction of LPZ1, LPZ2 and LPZ3 zone. Protection rank is Ⅲ.
The protector is installed on standard 35mm track.
The protector is connected by 2.5~35mm2 copper wire. They are connected in the following two ways:
(1) From the power supply switch to the protector and then the load terminal. This way applies to Power Distribution Board of 100A or below load current. The wire section should in accordance with the load current. (Please refer to Picture I)
(2) From the power supply switch to the protector and then from the switch to the load terminal. This way applies to Power Distribution Board of 100A or above load current. The wire section connected with the protector is affected by the load current and its length should no exceed 500mm. (Please refer to Picture II).
The ground wire should be double-colored, longer than 4mm2 and the maximum length is 500mm.
In order to prevent the grid from abnormal operation after the protector expiration, the protector connected with L wire should connect with a 10~32A fuse in series.

Adjustment, usage and maintenance
SPD does not need adjustment after the standard installation.
Regularly check whether the module sign is red or not and replace the expired parts timely.
